Er, in Broadrib's defense, he actually is an Archenlander native; his ancestors came over from Narnia along with the first kings of Archenland, which is why he says "not for about three thousand years." Calling him a Narnian is like calling a modern Spaniard a German because his ancestors were Visigoths.
It was Cybele that Susan heard in an earlier chapter, yes. As for whether his appearance will affect the politics...well, we'll see. :)
