bedlamsbardSo the boots I ordered this past weekend arrived today! (They arrived before the book I paid rush shipping for. *makes face* So that was a wasted extra shipping charge on the stupid book, since I needed it yesterday.)
Except...I don't really like them, because they don't feel sturdy (the sole is too narrow) and they're not very flattering. I put them on and I think I said something along the lines of "these look like astronaut boots!" (I have no idea what that means, but that's what went through my head). Also, I knew they weren't real leather when I ordered them, but I have no idea what the material is and I really don't like the way it (a) feels or (b) looks. Also, while they're not labeled wide calf, they don't have the support to look good on my (rather narrow) calves, so again...not very flattering. The fit, which is the main thing I was worried about because my weird feet, guys, is okay, except that the sole isn't wide enough so they feel too narrow at the mid-point (the arch, I guess) of the foot, but too wide at the heel because of my narrow heels. So I suspect I'll be sending them back, because it seems like I'm just too unhappy with them to actually wear them. I could buy shoes I actually like! Or more Star Wars comics.
