why is it always water in my apartment?

bedlamsbardSo I am on spring break, and I'm the only person in my apartment who's still here. (This is a voluntary choice, by the way. I got invited to go to Disneyworld/Orlando, and I eventually bowed out because (1) I didn't want to spend the money, (2) I feel ignored a lot when I'm in NOLA and I didn't think I could handle that if I was somewhere else, and (3) I like being in the apartment by myself.)
Naturally, a pool of water has appeared under the kitchen sink. Again. (To be fair, I think it was there last night, I just wrote it off as someone having spilled water at the edge of the sink.) I inspected it with a flashlight, I put a towel down, then I turned the faucet on (hot and cold, separately) and lay under the sink with a flashlight trying to figure out where the hell the water was coming from, and came up with nothing. I have no idea why it's there. It goes all the way back to the wall, so I'm pretty sure it's not a spill, but it doesn't seem to be coming from the sink or the plumbing, so I've got nothing. And I don't want to call Emergency Service Wave out (again!) on a holiday if it's nothing or if I don't know for sure it's not a spill, though hell if I know how one of my roommates managed to spill water under the kitchen sink.
It's always goddamn water in this apartment. Or lights. Or water coming from the lights. Okay, I guess we had that cockroach infestation, but that wasn't a recurring experience after the first month or so. My joy, it is great. /sarcasm
