Does anyone know anything about the National Society of High School Scholars? (Yes, I know, I will Google it, but I'm curious if anyone has any first or second hand knowledge.)

Thanks; the problem comes with the fact they're asking for money. But I bet it'll look pretty good on a college app, and that's what matters right now.

Well, it's a membership fee, and it's supposedly for scholarships and what not. And the program was started by the Nobels (of the Nobel Prize).

The Nobel prize was started because the guy who started it read his pre-mature obituary in the newspaper and was really disappointed at it. Apparently. This is my random knowledge.
