What a way to fuck up my favorite character, CBS. I think...I think I can work with this. Well, I can work with almost anything, but treason --

Where's the build-up, seriously? There is no build-up beyond this ep and the one with Colby's old Army pal. There has to be at least two seasons of build-up, but there's not. You pull something like this, you foreshadow it forever. I mean, for God's sake, at least CSI:NY is (I'm pretty sure) building up to Danny's Mafia revelation (I hope to God they are, at least); look at the way Whedon foreshadowed half the stuff in Buffy. You don't pull this shit out of nowhere. And I need a fucking explanation -- I still think I can work with it, though, even though it, oh, I don't know, ruins everything.

At least Megan's back. *scowls* Christ Jesus, CBS.

I don't get it either. I mean, the show was *working*. Maybe the actor wanted off? He got married - maybe he wanted to spend time with the new wife? Nah. I bet eventually we get some network twit saying earnestly "We're taking the show in a new and exciting direction." It wasn't broke, why fix it?

As for Megan - whatever that assignment was, it took its toll on her - mind, body and soul. She looks tired (RL-new baby!) her attitude is dark, and she just seemed *drained*. That last - "I can't do this anymore." was just frightening.

I hope they don't let the storyline drop by the wayside just 'cause they come up with a "better" idea.

I did love the scene at the end with the Eppes men. Lovely bonding moment.

I did miss a couple eps this season, but I mean, still -- I didn't hear about anything important over the LJ grapevine, although I have to admit that I don't actually hang out on the Numb3rs comms. It seemed out of the blue and all season we've been getting Colby as a really good guy. I mean, seriously, a Really Good Guy and an excellent agent. And I know CSI:NY pulled the storyline where a dirty cop went down and all his cases got looked at again, and this is, uh, a hell of a lot worse, so I wonder if Numb3rs is going to pull the same thing? Because that's a lot of --

Wait. There was the ep a few episodes back where Colby helped out that ex-ganger and got a favor in return. I wonder if they're going to pull up that plot-thread? I just hope they don't drop it entirely, swear to God. (Me, I may be writing the story where Colby's actually a CIA double agent. And sleeps with Charlie. And gets punched by Don. And may or may not get his job back. And gets punched by David.)

I did miss the ep where Megan went off to do whatever she did, but I was so very happy to see her back. She is, hands down, my favorite female character on TV right now, even more so than Stella. Well, not more so than the cast of Bones, I guess, but that's a slightly different category. Different network. But seriously, you could see how much that took out on her.

I hope they don't let any of the storylines go -- not Colby, not Megan, not Don's romance that will undoubtedly end badly (and was it just me, or in the trailer did they not show Colby of all the possible treasonous agents? Or am I missing something?).

I have to admit I was really loving Charlie in this ep, though.

I love the end scenes where it's just the Eppeses, because that's what it's all about, you know? These guys.

God, so pissed.
