Have I ever mentioned how messed up it is that my grandmother sends me more forwards than my friends do? And I'm in high school.

*shakes head*

Right now, I'm writing everything except Spaceforce. Original fic, X-series Pariah and LaMontaine and Ellis. Fic-wise, everything except the PotC fics I need to be working on -- that is to say, a lot of CSI:NY and a little bit of S:AaB. And I've been watching a lot of Dark Angel.

My mother does that. *scrunchy face* I hate getting forwards, though, so my friends have mostly learned that and don't send them to me. My mother has yet to figure it out, though.

GLEE, FIC. I heart LaMontaine. And on the Spaceforce thing, at least you already have a part of it plotted out, so it's not like you're starting from complete scratch with this project, right?

And it's funny because I'm getting the same ones from my grandmother as I did from my friends like, a year ago. GRANDMA, I DON'T CARE. And I'm still pretty mad at her for what she said about my personal philosophy. (Hmm, maybe I should post that sometime.)

LaMontaine is a very complex character. So is Ellis, even though it doesn't seem like it. I've been meaning to post some meta over on [livejournal.com profile] beyond_bedlam about my female characters; maybe I'll do that instead of writing.

No, I've got a lot of background. Again, most of the problem comes in with the fact that most of my fascination with the story comes from what happens after, not what happens during. *sigh* I'll start writing tomorrow, I guess.

Grandparents live to be either the most awesome people ever, or the most frustrating people ever. Or sometimes both at the SAME TIME. My grandmother wants me to settle down with a Nice Young Jewish Boy, so... *rolls eyes*

Every time I think about LaMontaine, I get a mental image of the cop from NO in "Criminal Minds" when they worked the Jack the Ripper case.

Good luck writing the Spaceforce thing! :D

I have no idea what my grandmother wants from me. It's so frustrating because she thinks she's a multiculturalist, but every time she talks about it she makes my mom (Japanese) really frustrated, and the last time she was over here she really criticized what I'd written. Also, she thinks that if I go down south for college (by which I mean: UNC-CH, Duke, Davidson, or Washington and Lee), I'll be lynched and raped, not necessarily in that order, just for being Japanese.

...funny you should mention that. That's the exact cop LaMontaine's based on, looks, accent, and everything. Also, name. His name was LaMontaine too. (See what I mean when I say everything I write is basically fic with a twist?)

My grandmother's totally the same way, only more Jewish. She thinks that by being in Canada, which is almost French in her mind, where there is lots of anti-semiticism, I'm going to get murdered or something.

Thankfully, she knows nothing about my writing.

Really? HAHAHA that's awesome. I didn't know what his name was, but that's the only NO cop I know of, so that's who I was picturing!

Grandparents. *shakes head* Yeah, I'm afraid to hear what my grandmother would say about my writing. I don't even show it to my parents, a lot of the time (my original fic, that is).

It was the accent. And the puppydog eyes. And the general attitude. And his name was William LaMontaine, Jr., so...yeah, clearly, not the most inventive person in the world, over here. *waves*

My parents know I write fic, they have no idea that most of it is slash, though, and I plan to keep it that way! Texas, y'know?

*laughs* I like LaMontaine, though, as a name! And he was totally adorable, and the accent, mmh!

My parents think everything I write is original fic. I plan to keep it that way. (And let's not even get started on slash.)

Oh, yeah. Sometimes we just get one-shot characters I really wish would be recurring, you know? And he was one of them. I should check who the actor was.
