Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Oh. My. God. What. The. Fuck.

Yeah, that about sums up my feelings in regards to it. Also, what the hell did you do to Dark is Rising, Hollywood?

Things I liked:
the fairly obvious James/Sirius
hot fifteen-year-old James
Sirius calling Harry "James"
Luna Lovegood
Voldemort possessing Harry at the Ministry
the Ministry of Magic
Bellatrix Lestrange
all the newspapers
the cat pictures in Umbridge's office
Sirius's "Get away from my godson!"
Dudley in the beginning

Things that I wanted to see:
Phineas Nigellus
the underground war against Umbridge at Hogwarts
the magicked coins used by the DA
Walburga Black

Things that the movies should have done/expanded upon:
the entire Marauder-era flashback, complete with James and Sirius being ridiculously cute at each other
Cho with "SNEAK" across her face courtesy of Hermione
the origin of the name "Dumbledore's Army"
Tonks
Grimmauld Place
the Black family tapestry, especially Harry's "You're related to the Malfoys?"
Ginny, and this is from me, who hates Ginny. She was there, but she did nothing except randomly destroy stuff
the Quibbler
the centaurs
Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes

Things that the movie should not have done:
made Kingsley Shacklebolt an "African wizard." What the hell, he's English
introduced Kreacher, since he did nothing
put in Grawp, since he also did nothing

The problem was that the book was so damn clunky, and this was one case where it would work if they streamlined it, and did they? Well, I didn't think it was possible for Order of the Phoenix to get more clunky, but somehow they managed it. *shakes head* Holding out for Deathly Hallows, now, even though I'll be sad to see the series end.

Cho with "SNEAK" across her face courtesy of Hermione. That's like, a whole plot point, right there. It wasn't even Cho in the first place, but since they made it her anyway, yes, some SNEAK would have been nice.

I KNOW. Instead of just, like, the ritual DA shunning of doom. And Kreacher was even more of a plot point, and they put him in there AND he did nothing. *sulks*
