Because I don't already have enough deadlines on my plate (hello, homework!), I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] ficwriters_anon and [livejournal.com profile] all_hallows_fic. Go forth! Do not leave me out in the cold whimpering about direct democracy and libertarianism and Islamofascism (thank you, AP Gov) and Star Wars. Because that cannot possibly end well. Just a thought there.

That said, I don't think I could work on my senior project novel if my life depended on it. *weeps* SPACEFORCE, YOU BASTARD. Let's debate: the Crazy Aces, the New York, and Ke'ane Lannister or McAuliffe and Drew, the North Carolina, and Berin Sunstark? I could do both, but. It would make no sense in the context of the story.

Saw Blades of Glory and The Covenant tonight. Blades of Glory? Hilarious. The Covenant? Actually surprisingly good. Could have been better, but most everything could be better. I liked it a lot. It would make an excellent TV series. Just think about it: eye candy every week. Why yes, I am a shallow teenage girl, why do you ask?

Actually, The Covenant got me thinking about my own punk teen magic novel, The Knights of Ghosts and Shadows, a.k.a. the story I always go back to, except when I'm actually living through high school because then it just seems like torture to go to high school and then write about it, because really, who wants to live it twice in one day? Only problem with that story is that it, uh, has no plot. Which is really the story of my life. Set-up, characters, no plot. Well, actually, it has an over-reaching plot arc, sort of, and a couple of character arcs, but none of what I consider plot. It also has enough characters to sink Noah's ark, each of whom have their own plot arcs. The problem is that I didn't come up with Knights as an individual story; I came up with it as a universe where all the characters had their own individual stories. And, unfortunately, I know what most of them are. Whoops.

This would probably help more if I felt like writing anything other than Star Wars Clone Wars fic. Which I don't think is even in canon anymore, because it takes up seven months where Anakin runs away from Coruscant. God damn it.
