movie trailer thoughts

bedlamsbardThe Dark Knight. Awesome balls of awesome. Seriously.
Sydney White. Actually looks pretty cute. I mean, driving through the marching band = BAD LIKE A BAD THING, but otherwise? I'd watch it. Probably not in theaters, but definitely when it comes out on DVD.
Fierce People. Looks really interesting, and not just from a hopeful anthropologist's viewpoint.
Hatchet. I don't know about the plot, which is your standard horror tourist thing, but the voiceover freaks me the fuck out.
The Kite Runner.Based on a book, yes? Which I've never read, so I can't tell you how much the trailer resembles the novel, but it looks fairly good. Not really my thing, but fairly good.
The Brave One. I've been seeing trailers for this on TV for the past couple weeks, and I've been trying to figure out how I feel about it. It does hit my two biggest literary kinks, albeit not in the way I usually think of. I'm definitely intrigued, especially by what I see in these trailers rather than what I saw on TV.
Hitman. Hmm. Interesting, I supposed, but doesn't really jump out at me.
I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With. It looks cute! Not my thing at all, but it still looks cute.
Great World of Sound. ...okay. I don't get it.
Trade. Actually looks really good. In a heartbreaking, I can't believe this is happening, sort of way. Probably won't watch it.
In other news, I sent in my application for a travel grant to visit Wellesley next month. Whether or not I get it is up in the air. *waves hands vaguely*
