I'm writing Anakin/Padme fluff.
Let's back up and dissect that sentence. I'm writing Anakin/Padme fluff. What is wrong with this picture?
It's kind of fun, too. It's a nice change from the constant battery of pain that is Anakin and Obi-Wan. No one is getting shot, stabbed, blown up, kicked, punched, or beaten; it's a sweet, lovely moment.
Plus, my favorite part right now? Coming up with the plot of the romance novel Anakin is reading. *clears throat*
The story begins with the lovely Niobara, Princess of Theed, who has just been elected to the post of Queen of Naboo. However, she's on a state visit to another planet and on her way back to Naboo, she's captured by the reckless Corellian pirate Keil Streide and held hostage, while her skif is returned to Naboo so it can deliver the ransom message. Despite their initial hostility, Niobara soon falls in love with Streide, who is less than willing to pursue her affections for dark reasons of his own. However, after a shocking experience where Streide takes a bad wound while protecting Niobara from raiders who want to kidnap her for their own interests, he admits to his feelings and they allow themselves to submit to their passions.
However, Niobara's ransom is suddenly paid off and, holding true to his word, Streide returns her to Naboo, where Niobara discovers that her handmaiden Tria, who escaped on the Nubian skif, has been pretending to be Niobara and is about to ascend to the throne. In a daring move, along with the crew of the pirate ship, Niobara storms the palace of Theed during the coronation and denounces Tria as an imposter. After Streide and Niobara say farewell, Niobara, now Queen of Naboo, exiles Tria. As Niobara is being examined by the medical droids, she discovers that she's pregnant. END NOVEL.
BUT WAIT. It's a trilogy!
Visual? Inspiration here. Who can deny that?
Yeah, I think I have my Come As You Aren't Party costume. To top it off? It's even in-canon.
