When Band Geeks Go Bad...

17 hours of sleep in the past five days! WHOO-HOO! (Er, not counting today, that is.)

You know, I do realize that four or five days isn't all that long, but it seems like it is, y'know? Like the fandom should have imploded or produced masses of reallygoodfic while I was gone, but it was only a couple of days, and I didn't miss all that much.

I also appear to have lost somewhere around eight pounds. Hurrah! This is what happens when you start categorizing food by "solid food" and "ice cream."

My bari is in one piece. *breathes easy* I had to check my baby (ha, my forty pound bronze baby and I am not exaggerating) and that is scary, because saxophones - instruments, period - are delicate. A tuba and a trombone evidently got a little fucked up on the way back from LAX to Sea-Tac.

I made a nickel! I was taking out my bari to check it over at Sea-Tac last night, and this guy walks by and throws a nickel into my case. "I was feeling funny," he said. My first pro gig?

Drove past the CBS building three times in LA. Took pictures of the CSI: NY sign. *sigh* Yes, am obsessed.

Unfortunately didn't write at all, but I ended up slashing four guys from band. Hey, I'm a teenage slasher, what do you expect? They're just friends? *facepalm* Would be less disturbing if one of them wasn't a guy I happen to really like. And now I want to go work on "The Year of Ghosts and Shadows."

*happy grin* Did not get sunburned. At all. Despite the fact I don't believe in sunscreen and only put it on the first day because we had a performance on Wednesday and my bari straps rest on my shoulders.

And...other stuff happened too, but I'll think of it later. Meanwhile, have to try and get back into the rhythm of the Mafia and Omerta.

Oh, yeah, the ones under the bridge? (Dude, I want a billboard like that in Boston. Actually, anything somewhat more interesting than Red Sox, Jordan's Furniture, or the local banks would be good.)

Hmm. I don't know, actually. I didn't run into his name until I was (trying) to do research on the Irish Mob in Boston for the Boston cops story, but then again, I barely knew about the New York Mob until I started doing a little research. Now I run into him all over the place. Er. Not literally, that is.
