Wristcutters: A Love Story. Hmm, I can't quite decide with this one. I'm kind of bothered by it on principle, but I'm not exactly sure what that principle is. I mean, it looks good, but...

Harold and Kumar 2. Never so the first one, so I don't really have anything to go on.

Horrorfest 2007. Okay, yeah. This is why the only kind of horror I watch is Supernatural.

P2. Doesn't look too bad, actually. Not really my thing, but it doesn't look horrible.

The Counterfeiters. Oh, this one looks really good. Heartbreaking, obviously, but really good and well-put-together.

The Rocket. Rock on, a hockey movie! [livejournal.com profile] mentalhygiene, you'll like this one, I think; it's about the bad old days of hockey. Blood and guts.

Rails and Ties. First thought: wow, I like how the summary has nothing to do with the trailer. Beyond that, well, *shrug*

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Cool title, but I'm bored just watching the trailer.

Slipstream. Okay. It could be pretty good, but it's definitely not my thing.

Music Within. Looks really good -- I rather like it.

Bella. I rather like it -- it seems lovely.

Black Irish. Oh, I like it. It seems -- real, you know? And quietly beautiful.

The Ten Commandments. Well, the animation sucks for one, and didn't someone else already do this movie and call it "The Prince of Egypt"? Yes. PG for "mild peril", though!

27 Dresses. I like it! Plus: "I get to have hot hatesex with random strangers." Win! And James Marsden! This I like.

Jumper. I talked about this one before. It's the one where I spent time going, "Who is that actor? He looks really familiar. Who is that actor? Oh, shit, it's Hayden Christensen! Anakin fucking Skywalker! Man, I fail as a fan." That said, I'm shallow. Pretty boys, decent special effects, and action -- and I'm set. Is it February 15 yet?

Protagonist. Um. Well. I like it better than the other artsy type films that have showed up on Apple in this post.

I kind of want to see "Wristcutters" for some reason. It's a strange twist on the standard 'hero's journey' movie, I suppose.

I want to take my dad to see "Music Within" (he used to work for the department of labor, and is way, way too familiar with the ADA for anyone's own good)

"Black Irish" looks like it ought to be ruthlessly depressing, and yet, not.

"The Rocket". Oh, my god. If "The Rocket" was playing ANYWHERE near me? WOULD GO SEE IN HEARTBEAT. ABSOLUTELY. WITHOUT FAIL.

Ha, and how did I know that? Hockey! It looks fun. So does Black Irish, in a, you know, depressing kind of way.

It keeps saying it came out on Oct. 26th. Where the HELL is it playing? *stabs imdb*

It looks like it was a straight-to-DVD movie (http://www.amazon.com/Maurice-Richard-Original-Version-Subtitles/dp/B000K9JEYY/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-9500775-4747225?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1193754710&sr=8-1)?

It has played at a few festivals in the US (and had a small theatrical release in Quebec, I think). I knew it was on DVD, which was why I wondered when the preview showed up.

I'm thinking, from looking around, that it showed mostly in Canada, and then the preview was from when they brought it to the US? I don't know...

Everyone says Hayden Christensen is a horrible actor, but he's not that bad, and hello, we watch television. WE DO NOT JUDGE.

I still can't believe I didn't recognize him. Man, I fail as a Star Wars fan.
