stop the presses!
Oct. 6th, 2008 02:19 pmI may -- may -- have figured out one of my major blocks on "Be Like Water," and I think it solves multiple problems. I mean, it makes Reepicheep look pretty reckless, but that's canon. And I have a pretty sincere belief that all the New Narnians have pretty big problems with following orders, and they may have even bigger problems having orders given by a woman, I don't know.
Yeah, I was sitting in class today listening to my prof talk about Utopia and writing Peta and Caspian's first kiss, why do you ask?
And this is on the heels of not four, not five, but six thousand words of part one of "Dust in the Air." (And it's probably going to increase, because I'm about halfway through it on a quick edit. This story is going up in parts, baby. Part one should be up tonight. Yes, I still blame you, stop asking.)
Homework? Who needs it! Not that I have ten pages of Japanese and reading to do for Greek Tyranny and Democracy tonight, or the Nicole Cooley reading...

Narnia fic: "Dust in the Air" (1)
Oct. 6th, 2008 03:26 pmTitle: Dust in the Air 1
Author:
bedlamsbard
Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia movieverse/bookverse
Rating: PG-13
Summary: And the end of all our exploring / will be to arrive where we started. An AU of The Last Battle, some five years after that book begins.
Disclaimer: The Chronicles of Narnia and its characters, situations, settings, etc., belong to C.S. Lewis. Certain characters, situations, settings, etc., belong to Walden Media. Title and quote from T.S. Eliot's Four Quartets: Little Gidding.
Author's Notes: This is part one, obviously, and this is also the first WIP I've posted since 2006. (And that WIP was abandoned, so one can see I'm understandably nervous about posting another one.) The structure of this lends it to being posted in sections, though, so that's how it's going up. Because of this, however, it's not getting posted to any comms until the whole thing is done.
