HOORAH I KNOW WHAT MY PAPER IS ABOUT. It is about the pagan/Christian heroic ideal as portrayed in Beowulf and "The Dream of the Rood", starring Beowulf and Christ, co-starring the cross and Wiglaf, and also featuring the apostles and Beowulf's cowardly warriors. Guest appearance by the dragon!

And now that I know what that's about, I can get back to Peter and Edmund stomping around in the snow and being confused.

Also: the best ice cream ever is Ben & Jerry's Brownie Batter, oh my God. I will have to get more, because OH MY GOD BEST THING I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY MOUTH.

And I have no class today! Because it is Yom Kippur, and Tulane takes that day off.

Also, I am vaguely annoyed by my icons, and there is a chance they will get shuffled around even more. Currently I have one non-Narnia icon. HURRAH FOR FARSCAPE AND JOHN CRICHTON YO.

ETA: Apropos of nothing, in other news, apparently, my typing speed hovers between 97 and 98 WPM, according to typing test. Ooh, this last time I was at 99 WPM. A year or two ago I got over 100 WPM once.

Yeah, I think I could probably get a job as a typist, if so needed. Also, according to my roommate, I'm an aggressive typist.

When he was in Burma he was probably an Flying Officer, yes? But by Malaya he probably was a Flight Lieutenant.

The term "white hat" would not be known in 1949 Britain, would it? Or America; Edmund or Peter could have picked it up from American GIs? Not a particularly big deal (not like FUCKING UP THE RANK SYSTEM OF THE RAF HELLO), but 'twould be interesting to know.
