*puppy dog eyes* this is to keep my brain from exploding

...suddenly I want to write PC Lucy fic, where Caspian walks in on her telling stories of the Golden Age to groups of Narnians. And, again, Dust Lucy, which, seriously, Dust 13, which means Dust 12 has to be finished first.

No, really, where did all the Lucy come from? For some reason my brain just keeps clicking on Lucy related songs while I'm listening to music and that sets me off. So far I have added Patty Griffin (although this song is also now on my Dust playlist, so I'm not sure whether it's general Lucy or just Dust Lucy), Heather Dale (which makes me want to write post-Conquest Redux Lucy on a rampage in the Petaverse, and dude, I didn't even have post-Conquest Redux Lucy in Water until I heard this), and Kasey Chambers (this is my general Lucy). I mean, okay, we've also got some additions to the Dust playlist, with my usual, "Why the hell is this relevent? I have no idea, but it is." Like this. Why is this relevent to Dust? Who knows.

*twitches* I need to write happy Golden Age fic. Prompts, anyone? I can add them to my collection of prompts that I look at when I go, "OH MY GOD I MUST WRITE AND I HATE EVERYTHING I HAVE IN PROGRESS RIGHT NOW."

Oh god. I really, really want to watch Farscape right now. This is exacerbated by the fact that I have no way to actually watch Farscape right now. Well, Internet, but that requires me to go searching for it. Such a good show. I would like affordable DVDs, please. (I have S2 on DVD thanks to Ebay, but it's back in Washington.)

Also, I cannot watch anything right now because I have to do this teetiny thing called homework.

OH GOSH. You know what I just figured out? One place that the Petaverse deviates from regular canon, way back in LWW -- Peta would have been sharing a tent with Susan, and Edmund and Lucy probably would have been together.

That means that Lucy would have dragged Edmund off after Aslan, and it would have been Lucy and Edmund who saw Aslan sacrificed on the Stone Table by the White Witch. And Lucy and Edmund who were with Aslan when he went to the White Witch's castle. Oh, man, the Tumnus and Edmund interaction must be...interesting.

It also means it was Susan who was with Peta at the battle, which means -- something. Maybe the battle was going considerably worse in the Petaverse because Edmund wasn't around to break the White Witch's wand? Maybe Peta did it. MAYBE SUSAN WAS TURNED INTO STONE. Or maybe it didn't happen until the cavalry showed up with Aslan. But it means worse casualties, and a harder Susan, because she was out there in the killing fields with Peta.

Too much homework and studying. Head exploded. Opened my Japanese workbook (and note that this is the one thing I haven't studied and the one thing I really should) and stared at it and went, "I can read the words but I have no idea what they mean." And those were just the English words. (The really bad part is that this is actual homework I actually have to turn in -- eh, I'll do it tomorrow.)

Did get about half my paper done; should finish the other half tomorrow, then go through and do editing and add in quotes. I'd screw around with trying to figure out footnotes, but I think my head will explode before that.

Okay, showering, attempting to read another fifty pages of Mill (god, between this and Machiavelli...), then either more Farscape and knitting, or possibly writing, depending on how much of my brain is still mush. And trying to get at least some of my Japanese homework done.
