I am pretty sure that the first season of Battlestar Galactica is one of the best seasons of television. (Uh, on the strength of the "33", which I just rewatched, because studying is so passe.)
Anyway, I have been watching Caprica, and am up to episode 3, "Rebirth" -- Syfy does not put up the new episodes till Wednesday, and I realized just as ep 4 came on that I hadn't seen ep 3 yet, alas -- and it is fabulous. I have the vague hope of someday finishing out S4 of BSG, but I feel going back to the beginning is a good start, especially with Caprica on.

In conclusion, the first three episodes are up at Syfy Rewind. Even if you're completely unaware of BSG, you can watch this; it's designed to be independent of the series, and while it's a nice touch to do so, you don't need to know anything about BSG. Get thee to it now.
