Huh. I am coming to the conclusion that I am a very predictable writer, but at least in a fairly unusual way for fandom. (Since there aren't exactly a lot of plotty gen action/adventure writers with religious issues...and also this shouldn't be spoilers for anyone who reads my fic.)

I am also wondering at the fact that the two random things that keep recurring are...okay, I actually have to redact these, because they show up in the narniaexchange fic.

I am so ashamed to admit that I didn't know that paragraph was in the book when I started Dust, which uses that very idea as part of the premise. Well, most of the premise. (Yeah, I haven't reread LB since before I started Dust.)

The YA fantasy deathmatch, which I hadn't really cared about one way or another, suddenly became awesome when I suddenly realized that the very last character listed is no less than EDMUND PEVENSIE.

Which is an interesting choice, coming from non-Narnia fen. I wouldn't have expected that. Why Edmund? Why not Lucy or Peter or Polly? INTERESTING.

Also, I am depressed that Christopher Chant is going to lose to Hermione Granger in the very first round, because, let's face it, a lot more people have read HP than have read Chrestomanci. ALAS. Oooh, but Howl is on there too! Albeit with his name misspelled. Most of the characters on this chart I don't know, alas, and pretty much don't particularly care to. On the other hand...I hope Alanna and Edmund match up.
