Huh. I am coming to the conclusion that I am a very predictable writer, but at least in a fairly unusual way for fandom. (Since there aren't exactly a lot of plotty gen action/adventure writers with religious issues...and also this shouldn't be spoilers for anyone who reads my fic.)

I am also wondering at the fact that the two random things that keep recurring are...okay, I actually have to redact these, because they show up in the narniaexchange fic.

If it makes you feel better, all my stories are, in the end, about the line between creativity (or magic as metaphor for creativity) and how it ties into madness.

It doesn't bother me that much (I write what I like to read! and there is a severe lack of good action in both profic and fanfic), but sometimes it is kind of shocking to realize that even when I'm writing for someone else's prompt, I still want to hit my high points. Well, they said the word adventure, but I think they probably meant something else...oh well!

(It could be worse. I could still be on the sea shanty thing I was last summer.)

*thoughtfully* I think most writers have a theme they keep revisiting, over and over again. I don't know how much it actually comes through in my fic, but I tend to think of my major themes as being balance, and free will, and knowing when to walk and when to stay.
