Erk, I think my eyes are broken (focusing too long on one thing -- does that make sense?). I just switched from contacts to glasses, which already seems to be helping. My Age of Reformation test happened, I think it went okay because I didn't answer any questions I didn't know (though all the dates but those of the Council of Constance the Great Schism immediately fled my head; I think I may have kept Alexander VI's dates as pope too, but I'm not sure they were right) and I didn't panic on anything. I even knew the extra credit! (I hope.)

Etruscans & Early Rome tomorrow, and I definitely need to have all of The Holy Greyhound read tomorrow, since my tutorial's Wednesday and I only have about 30 pages read so far. So I'll read some of that with dinner, or maybe bring dinner back here and watch Farscape? Or something? Or just eat in the LBC and stare into space? Then study some more for Etruscans, and argh, sometime tomorrow before Shakespeare I have to finish reading King Lear, too. I've read it before, but I don't think I've read it recently enough and my prof likes to give pop quizzes to check that we've done our reading. At some point I will study more for Etruscans, although I may have already blown out my brain on that and we'll see.

Latin test on Friday, which is the only thing I have that day. There's a bunch of people in the class who really want to take it Thursday, which is a source of mystery to me: okay, I understand it for the people that are leaving to go home early for spring break (I wish I was going home for spring break, but I'm not, airfare's really expensive this year and it's not worth it), but there are a bunch of people who want to take it Thursday so they can go to Muses that evening without repercussions on Friday morning. Now, don't get me wrong, Muses is a great parade, but seriously? Y'all would rather take a test at 8:30 in the morning a full day before it's scheduled? That's more than twenty-four hours of studying you're losing! The class isn't until ten, you could still go to Muses and get the full eight hours of sleep if you time it right! I wish my teacher wasn't being so lenient on them; I wish she'd just say, "No, we're going to have the test on Friday, like it says on the schedule: deal with it," instead of saying that she'll try and find a time on Thursday that works for people. *sighs* I mean, I have no particular urge to take a test the day before it's scheduled, at freaking 8:30 am, but then, I'm not sure I'm going to go to Muses, either. (Too many goddamn people. My tolerance for people has gotten dangerously low over the past couple years. Last year one of my roommates punched a guy at Muses. I'll definitely turn out for Iris on Saturday morning, and maybe I'll try for Zulu and/or Rex on Mardi Gras day, but otherwise, eh. Clearly I lack the spirit of a proper New Orleanian, but whatever, man. I don't drink, either.)

In other news, one of my roommates has informed me that she's having two people over to stay during Spring Break. Urgh. This is made slightly less irritating by the fact that she later clarified they'd be staying in her room, rather than in the living room, which is what she'd initially said.

In GOOD news: I finished my book on Lucrezia Borgia! Good times, man, good times. And there is a giant bug in my room: definitely less exciting. I don't think my February fic is going to get done until March: whoops. Oh, well.

My brain has inexplicably gotten switched to TV series trailer mode for Dust. Which is lovely...and if Dust was an HBO series it would be the coolest thing ever.

cut for slight rambling )
