Oh man oh man oh man, it is a 1.5K day like it used to be in the days of yore! (Okay, in the days of yore I also once had a 10K day, but that was during NaNo and doesn't really count.)

*does a little dance*

Also, there is an angsty teenage marsh-wiggle girl. Although she's in sort of a skeevy situation.

(I realized in the shower that I was doing...something with children in this story. Not sure what. I'm sure whatever it is, Lewis did it first. So far we have Beka Confesor, Gareth of Archenland, and marsh-wiggle girl. We meet Gareth's younger sibs later, too.)

I posted a very short snippet on Twitter the other day, so I'll put it here too:

“I call you an ass!”
