in ANCIENT VIKING RUNES
Jun. 1st, 2011 11:18 amI am trying to clean out at least one block of my shelves (you know the ones where you fit wire grids together to make squares? That is so not the best description, but hopefully it makes sense?) in order to get my yarn up off the floor. It's, um, a daunting task because I have stuff on those shelves that's more than ten years old. (I have also found various bits of sheet music, lots of pens and pencils, things left from my HS summer programs, graduation things, beading materials, and the gods alone know what else. Along with ten years worth of calendars.)
Also a journal! Wherein the first entry is from the day of the 2001 Nisqually earthquake.
( reproduced here for your pleasure. )
Oh my sweet gods, I was really weird in elementary school. Several pages later, I have a line that says, "The other part of it was writtin [sic] in ANCIENT VIKING RUNES."
Later, a little drawing of an archaeological dig and a figure with a speech bubble, "I found ancient tobacco!"
Mostly, I was writing in cursive and sparkly gel pens. (I still have most of those sparkly gel pens. *sighs*)
