bedlamsbard: natasha romanoff from the black widow prelude comic (home (nicolemissing))
So this is going to sound incredibly crazy unless you realize how tightly Narnia is, for me, tied to the seasons, but...I just had this really worrisome feeling that my most productive periods of working on Dust are during the cold months of the year. I would have to go back and check the dates of when chapters went up, but knowing the way I write? It's extremely likely.

*checks* I lie. Most of my Dust chapters since I actually started having hard classes (2010-present) go up in December-January and June-July-August. It's not seasonal; it's when I'm not in school. However. I suspect that I tend towards writing weather/season appropriate chapters/stories, even for Dust, which may be why I stall out at certain points of the year.

Still no freaking explanation for why someone rock-climbs or goes sailing every summer since 2008, though. (I SWEAR TO GOD I DON'T DO IT ON PURPOSE. It just happens. And neither of those are things I do in the summer, so I don't even know, okay. All I can say is that my three major Narnian navy/seafaring stories (In a Dry Month, The Coastwise Lights, The Land of Silent Seas, and The White Harvest) were written during four different summers, which is so fucked up, I can't even. I AM FREAKING LANDLOCKED IN SUMMER.)

*cough* I'm up late studying for a final, ignore me.
