Huh. I'm more of a Simon/Jayne (and Kaylee/River) fan myself, but Simon and Inara are awful damn pretty and cultured together.

I also lean Mal/Simon, but Simon and Inara just seem to be one of those undervalued pairs that have some real chemistry. I've only ever written a little Firefly, but I may do a little bit of fooling around with the two of them just to see where I get. I already have two plot bunnies.

I'm such a boring little canon type o' gal. I love each of the canon pairings in Firefly and Serenity (Mal/Inara, Simon/Kaylee, and Zoe/Wash).

I tend to hate canon pairings on principal, generally. Zoe and Wash are adorable, and I'm okay with Mal/Inara and Simon/Kaylee, but I don't think either one's going to work out in the long run.

They're just so pretty! And cultured! And I think they both get each other on a level that no one else on the ship does, because of their backgrounds.
