We were discussing how sometimes we have plot bunnies that we don't so much want to write, but we want to READ. You have those? Let's talk about them!
Pick 3 plot bunnies for stories you'd really like to READ, but don't have time to write, or don't feel qualified to write.
1. Farscape, in a vaguely season two/three-shaped place: Jack Crichton and D.K. have finally managed to convince the IASA to send someone after John, a.k.a. through that goddamn still there wormhole. They go through, and are promptly captured by Scorpius, who figures out that they're friends of Crichton's, and uses Jack Crichton and D.K. to lure Crichton back to the command carrier. He goes, and rescues D.K., but Jack is gone and so is Scorpius. Then there is drama and hijinks aboard Moya and Harvey makes an appearance and D.K. makes some disparaging comments about Crichton's mental state and gets growled at by D'Argo. And then Scorpius shows up and offers to trade Jack for Crichton, so off John goes. And then he goes a little crazy and shoots some people and...something. Yes. Not written because I don't have a good enough feel for Farscape.
2. Stargate Atlantis, futurefic, AU-like: After Atlantis has been destroyed and most of its personnel KIA, Rodney McKay is teaching at some smalltown state university (think "Freedom's Just Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose"), when SGC personnel show up -- with John Sheppard, who Rodney saw die on Atlantis. It turns out this John is from an alternate universe where everyone died but him; the Wraith made him a Runner and he's been running for the past however many years until he finally stumbled over some weird Ancient tech or something that sent him to this universe, where he somehow managed to make it back to the Milky Way and the SGC. Also, the Wraith are totally on their way to Earth. Possibly two sets of Wraith, alternate universe Wraith and this universe Wraith. Whoops. John/Rodney. Not written because I don't have a good enough feel for Stargate Atlantis.
3. Numb3rs, season four-ish: Don takes a temporary position at Quantico to teach baby FBI agents how to deal with civilians and some other stuff. Meanwhile, back in L.A., Amita breaks up with Charlie and Charlie gets really depressed and spends a lot of time terrorizing his students and doing really complex math and stalking Don's team to do math for things that don't really require math. And Colby, because God, Colby already does this in canon, calms him down and spends a lot of time with him and wears him out playing basketball and teaching him how to, I don't know, shoot or something. And Charlie makes a move and Colby freaks out a little bit -- not because of heterosexual panic, more because Don will kill him if he sleeps with his little brother. And then they stumble around doing the whole relationship thing until Don comes back from Quantico and gets picked up at LAX by David. He calls the house, Colby picks up, which is a fun and awkward moment, and then everyone gets distracted by a case. And I got nothing beyond that. Not written because of the "nothing beyond that" part, and also the part where I was writing my novel and can now apparently work on nothing but my novel.
