So today, after dropping off two of my friends at their respective homes, I got in a car accident. T-boned at an intersection by a car speeding through a stop sign. Oh, yes. The pick-up -- a little red thing, thank you god was it not a Ford F-350 like so many people in my hicktown drive -- hit my Subaru Impreza on the driver's side rear door, so holy fuck was I ever lucky, people die in car accidents, and spun it around at least ninety degrees. I'm fine -- someone called the cops, and the cops called an ambulance, and I got to get a neckbrace and a backboard and spend two hours at the hospital. My car is probably dead. I have no broken bones, no bruising yet; I didn't even get cut by all the shattered glass. The doctors say I'll probably be sore for a couple days, but I should be fine. I'll skip my first few classes tomorrow morning, probably, and thank you god am I not AP testing tomorrow -- tomorrow's Calculus. I do English Lit on Thursday.

Oh, God, please. It would also be helpful if I knew who hit me, although it may end in my friends going after them -- it must underclassmen, because it was a high school parking tag, and not one of the blue and white senior ones.

Your HS is, as we noted, not at all that big, so it won't be too hard to find a red pickup with some marks in its front end (scratches, probably), especially if it's an unusual (as in, small) one.

The other car's pretty much dead, too -- I know their radiator was leaking, because I saw it; my band director said he saw the truck and the front end was completely crushed.

Yeah, the cops -- it wasn't a hit and run -- but the officer on the scene's off duty until Friday and the police department lost the paperwork. (I know.)

I'm going to see if word will eventually come back through the high school grapevine. Not overlapping circles, but hey, it's a crash, someone's gotta know something.
