Narnia/LotR crossover. Eomer is SO CONFUSED. And Peter -- is actually a very good High King. And Edmund just put his foot in his mouth. Lucy is thrilled to have all these cute new men to flirt with -- for diplomatic reasons, of course. Of course. And Susan -- well, Susan, aside from shooting a bunch of orcs, hasn't shown up yet.
In other news: I may possibly be the only one in the entire Narnia fandom who thinks the March of Cambreadth (scroll down) is the Narnia song, especially under Peter the High King. And in times of war, obviously. Which, uh...under Peter the High King. And of course it isn't heard for more than a thousand years until the eve of battle against the Telmarines when Peter was humming it under his breath and Lucy, then Edmund and Susan, took it up. And slowly -- slowly, because the words had been passed down, but it hadn't been heard for so long -- the rest of the Narnians took it up, until even Caspian was shouting the words along with the rest of them. And outside of the How, the waiting Telmarine army could hear them...and they shivered.
(I know. It seems like my view of Narnia is so much more savage than everyone else's. Oh, well.)

Date: 2008-07-03 10:12 am (UTC)And you know, I'm starting to much prefer your view of Narnia to CS Lewis'. Your's is way more mature and gritty and awesome. Long may it continue!

Date: 2008-07-03 02:56 pm (UTC)I dunno about savage per se but I do like your manner of world-building details of the sort that Lewis had no intention of writing, and if the effect is savage or melancholy, well, it comes with a satisfying feeling of cracks being filled. Hooray fanfiction!
