OMG CRACKBOOK. All those applications! It was bad enough when it was just "Ooh, cryptic wall messages and groups with amusing names!" but ever since we were able play Scrabble and geography games on it... oh man. My parents gave me their old beat up computer about 4-5 years ago. I'd never even been on-line before that, and was fascinated to discover this whole interesting WORLD out here. Now, I can't live without my computer. *clings*

I've learned a lot from my lj-and yahoogroup-friends. I've finally put up my "new" (only 2 years old, still in the box) computer/monitor,etc. *is proud* I've got to get a new printer, and I'd love a digital camera, so as to spam the hell outta my flist with pics of my cat, like any good cat!pawn does. (What, you think *I* own *him*? HA!) I need to re-load my Works program. And Webshots.

I still run across new internet stuff that I resist learning about until I can't stand the curiosity any more and then I toe-dip...I do not know this Facebook. *eyes it*

I need to get my speakers working before I worry about anything else! *fends it off*

I got into online fandom when I was eleven. I grew up on the Internet and in fandom. (I got on LJ when I was fifteen; it literally defined my high school years.)

Facebook is social networking for -- well, it started off for colleges. It's keeping up with RL friends, I think.

Ah, then I don't need it. None of my RL friends do more with their computers than send stupid jokes to each other and put up photos of the family.

I absent-mindedly mentioned participating in Zombie Apocalypse Day last year and got some STARES. Talk Like A Pirate day bemused them...not a real 'net kind of group. Bit of a shame, really, because there's so much interesting stuff here,even if you don't want to get into fandom.
