I am vaguely amused by the fact that, although I have a new shiny computer which is, like, a million times faster than my current computer...I am still on my current computer. Mostly because I haven't moved everything from computer one to computer two. (Theoretically, computer two informs me, this is possible. Please, please let it be possible, because toehrwise it's going to be a bitch to move everything individually.) Also, the new computer does not have Word, which is absolutely necessary for my existence.

On the other hand, I'm reluctant to start any new Word files on this computer. Unfortunately, I just posted fic, and I haven't started anything new since, and the only thing I have in progress is "Till Human Voices Wake Us", which I'm now, at this point, (10K later) fairly convinced works better as a throwaway piece of history than as a story. (This is the story of the Caves of Angrisla, a.k.a. how a hundred Narnians died, Peter became claustrophobic, and Edmund burned every living thing out of the inside of a mountain.) And personal canon part two, and, uh, the timeline. (Oh my God, you have no idea how much I need a timeline to keep track of what happens when. I need a timeline just to keep track of the stories that take place during Prince Caspian.)

*sigh* Vaguely considering dropping physics in favor of an honors class, but the only two that are still open are The Greek Way of Death, which ends fifteen minutes before ROTC starts, and Intro to Latin American Studies, which I'm not particularly interested in.

Aw, I'm really looking forward to "Til Human Voices Wake Us"; it seems like such an awesome set-up. I've just finished reading your Narnia stories, and I really like the way you have such a well-developed personal canon (I do exactly the same sort of thing) and even when I don't entirely agree with something, you usually write it well enough to convince me! I especially like your Golden Age stuff (and especially especially when it focuses on Peter...), so would love to see this whenever you finish it!

Thank you for the compliments! I really like the set-up for "Till Human Voices Wake Us" (which will not be the final title, most likely, if I go back to it), I just messed it up when I wrote it straight through, so I have to go back and figure out how to structure it (i.e. not the way it's structured currently).

Structure can indeed be a tricky little bugger - in any case, I'm looking forward to whatever you write next!

And don't I know it! *shakes fist* Curse you, structure!
