...I suddenly really want to write the story where Peter loses his memory and spends, like, a year wandering around the westerlands as a mercenary before his company gets hired to invade Narnia. And the invading commander pulls the single combat gig -- soldier of his choice versus Edmund -- and chooses Peter, because he may not know who he is, but he's the best swordsman in the army. And Peter goes in full-armored, with a helmet on, so Edmund may not be able to see his face, but he recognizes Peter's style of fighting. They're fighting just over the Narnian border, into one of the western countries, so Edmund starts maneuvering backwards, until Peter steps over the border -- and promptly passes out. (Oh, please, like you didn't know the Peter/Narnia was coming.) And then Peter wakes up, Edmund bending over him, and remembers. And the westerland army suddenly remembers an urgent engagement elsewhere.

And you should totally do that.

I swear you have the most amazing plot bunnies, I want to see them all become fics!

LOL at the westerland army suddenly running away elsewhere. Deux Ex Machina there, eh?

I have possibly just written it into my Golden Age history. (Or as Lucy says, "the entire miserable year when Peter had been missing and they’d been dragging themselves around Narnia, trying to do the five hundred things they hadn’t realized he’d been doing until he wasn’t doing it any more.")

Well, it seems a lot more reasonable to invade a country that's missing its sovereign, its general, and its best fighter. (And I would not be surprised to learn that one of the westron kings hired a magician to take out Peter -- he just, kind of, you know, disappeared. Which he does a lot, considering the other time Peter went missing in the westerlands. And sometime between all of this adventuring he also ruled a country, um.)

I would totally fangirl that story if you wrote it. Which is a big hint that you should definitely write it.

Have I ever mentioned I love your Peter? Your Peter is just hardcore awesome.

*wide eyes* I totally want to write this story, although between this and the other time Peter goes missing (only three months this time) I have no idea how he managed to rule Narnia.

My brain just can't stop thinking Narnia, for some reason. *sheepish grin*

I am going to sneak it into every story I write so by the time I come out with the really out-there stuff, everyone will be convinced it's in Lewis and therefore canon.

So, I've been seeing all of your Narnia fic pop up, and I've just been saving it all because I know next to nothing about the universe. Like, I saw The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe when it came out... a few years ago? And that's it. That's the sum total of my knowledge.

But I'm getting impatient and it all sounds really cool. How much do I have to know about this universe to read your stuff? Cus I really want to.

*thoughtful* Well, I've got a pretty strong influence from the Prince Caspian movie, and I do reference the books occasionally. So -- the Golden Age-era stuff is probably fine without anymore knowledge beyond LWW; most of the PC stuff is set during the movie, so knowledge of that would probably be helpful. (The movie is really good, by the way; I highly recommend it.)
