Great. Just fucking great.

Tulane texts everybody periodic updates on the course of (currently) Tropical Storm Gustav. My theatre arts prof told us we should all buy plane tickets now. And the governor is talking about evacuating people on Friday, the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

At least Gustav isn't named after me.

On the bright side, now I have a legitimate reason to panic!

How many people can we get INTO the castle itself? She's a magic castle, not going to go to pieces under a hurricane.

At least a thousand, probably, but Edmund's not going to want to keep anyone in the path of the hurricane. Send the majority of the people inland with Lucy in charge and stay at Cair Paravel with any stragglers, as well as enough of the guard and army to hold the castle should someone get the bright idea to come by.

Depends how much advance warning they have. On the bright side, Cair Paravel and most of the surrounding area's above sea level.

I'm thinking they'll need to carry as little as possible, and the priority will be on getting anything that could blow over taken down.

Can we pack up the shifting market completely and store in the dungeons before packing the marketeers off to evacuate?

I don't think they'll get that much advance warning -- it's going to be "get inland, right now. Your stuff we can replace, you we can't."

Of course, it could be a convenient time to get rid of any inconvenient ambassadors...
