Date: 2008-09-18 12:26 pm (UTC)At least you don;t have the bunnies who suddenly popped up in the AU-where-they-stayed-in-PC and went 'Eustace. VotD. You know you want him to be swept in when E, L + C are out checking on all the islands that technically owe taxes (bugger this 'seven lords' thing). And refusing to believe that it's been 3 years for them when it's only been one for him.' Airs and graces of Edmund and Lucy. All the sailors are Spanish and don't quite have enough English to understand 'British Consul'. And what're you going to do about Ramandu's daughter, HUH? Are they even going that far? Is Caspian going to look twice considering he's technically betrothed to Susan but in a rather open threesome with her and Peter? Would the Pevensies even let him consider a non-political marriage?

Date: 2008-09-18 01:35 pm (UTC)If Caspian is sleeping with both Peter and Susan, I think he'd be too terrified to even LOOK at Ramandu's daughter, much less consider a non-political marriage. Is it really a three-year betrothal?
Oh, Eustace is so screwed. *gleeful*

Date: 2008-09-18 08:39 pm (UTC)Hee. When you put it like that, I think if they even get to Ramandu's island (probably not, considering they're not on a jolly like VotD essentially is) Caspian'll probably be going 'well, she's gorgeous, but it's not like she compares to the Pevensies.' I suspect Peter and Susan have completely warped his tastes to the point that if they don't have visible muscle and scars and the ability to face down entire armies, he's not that interested. Not to mention Edmund and Lucy're there too. Caspian in VotD is *shallow*.
Eustace will spend a lot of time spluttering. Whilst Lucy essentially pats him on the head and says 'sit over there while we get on with everything.' And Edmund ignores him and bans Reepicheep from poking him.
...I honestly have no idea what they're going to do with the film. Because you just could not get away with most of the stuff Eustace does in the book (since our first intro to Reepicheep was killing the Telmarine soldiers), Lucy and Edmund are established as much harder and savage, Caspian isn't a happy-go-lucky airhead, etc, etc. I seriously could not see Lucy just going along with things and being sidelined and protected the way she is in the book.
