bedlamsbard: natasha romanoff from the black widow prelude comic (warrior (illuxtris))

I see the J.L. dryers have decided that instead of drying my clothes so hot they burn me, they have now decided to make sure not all of my clothes get completely dry. Oh, yes. Classy, Tulane.

In other news: OH MY GOD WE ARE ALMOST AT ENDGAME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. *cough* Except for editing. Beta? Anyone?

In other, other news: Peta Pevensie, yay/nay?

Once again - industrial dryers for the win. ;)

Throwing a towel in there helps. Granted the towel won't get completely dry, but it does help absorb moisture. Some of my sweatshirts just refuse to get totally dry no matter what and I give in and hang 'em up when I get home.

I had FOUR towels in there. *sulks* It was mostly the heels of my sports socks, which are, like, thicker? Or something.

Yep, thicker things have a hard time drying. If it's just a little damp, hang 'em up, it'll be ok. :)

One gets used to laundry annoyances after a while.

See, at my house, I always had to dry stuff twice, so that I'm used to.

But at your house, you didn't have to pay for it, that's the real annoyance.

EXCELLENT. It will be plot and thematic beta, mostly, and I believe I still have your e-mail, so you'll probably be getting it in the next day or so, or whenever it gets, uh, finished.

er... too not-English, to be honest. Keira would be better, even though she's too skinny.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. But Keira's my chick!Anakin Skywalker, Ani Skywalker!

And she's too pouty.

(on the picture) I don't know, she seems soft and kinda ...happy. Not that Peta can't be happy (it's better for Narnia if she is) but I can't really imagine Jessica Alba as scary. Ever.

She could occasionally pull off pretty scary in Dark Angel, but she was a brunette then...and I think she's too small to be Peta.

You know, as far as fierce women go, Amanda Tapping (http://content8.flixster.com/photo/35/00/18/3500182_gal.jpg) or Lucy Lawless (http://www.buddytv.com/usrimages/usr19979/19979_d'anna-beirs-1---cropped-less.jpg) would work for an older Peta. But for a sixteen-twenty-one year old Peta...

my roommate says check out teresa palmer, but she might be a bit to teen pop for you

Other than that, all of the fierce younger women I can think of do it more with mental power plays than the physical. I think of anything I'll send over a pic

*googles* Hmm, never heard of her. Er...too pointy, I think.

I keep going back to Natalie (http://www.shoeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/natalie-portman-shoe-4africa.jpg) Portman (http://www.mtv.com/movies/photos/c/cannes_080515/04_natalie_portman.jpg), except maybe too pretty?

Oooh, I like her a lot. And in the second picture she looks hard enough for it. And while I can certainly say that Natalie Portman is beautiful, I don't think she has that teenage sort of effervescence that I associate with pretty. She's serious enough and controlled enough and I think she'd be a great Peta.

I like her too. And when she's a brunette, she'd probably be a decent girl!Edmund, but as a blonde...yeah, I think she'd work as Peta.

I shall put the question to the masses.

I shall set the dryers on fire for you.

In other, other news: I don't really like her. I'm still rooting for Kiera with boobs. Though Natalie is my second choice. It helps that they look alike. Have you thought about Scarlett? She kind of looks Petaish in "The Other Bolyen Girl." Her and Natalie play sisters, so Natalie could be Girl!Edmund and she could be Girl!Peter. Just a thought

I'm just waiting for when I break the dryers here like I did at Brown last summer.

...man, my roommate is on her webcam with her parents and I really hope they can't see my computer screen, since I keep google-imaging various actresses, and this being the internet, the first stuff that comes up tends to be the partly-clothed or not-clothed stuff...

Hmm, Scarlett could work. *considers* She seems to have more meat on her bones than Natalie, at least.

(Keira is Ani Skywalker!)

Also, I don't know how to link, so I hope this works, but this picture pretty much sums up Peta for me:
I hope this works (http://www.bbc.co.uk/kent/content/images/2008/02/12/scarlett_johansson_470x355.jpg)

And these pictures seem very Girl!Edmund&Peterish.
Ed & Peta, being adorable (http://www.boleyngirls.com/imgs/scarlett-johansson-boleyn-girl.jpg)
Helping eachother dress (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/graphics/2008/03/07/bfboleyn.jpg)
And just generaly being awsome (http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/03_01/boleyngirl4L_468x306.jpg)

And for added fun, knocked up Peta:
I like Peta with braids (http://images.allmoviephoto.com/2008_The_Other_Boleyn_Girl/2008_the_other_boleyn_girl_008.jpg)

Just some general Scarlett:
Oooh, pretty (http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/observermusic/Scarlet460.jpg)

And just for fun:
Ed and Peta get it on (http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/02_02/JohanssonWIRE1602_468x656.jpg)

Hope that helps Some of her features, like her lips, are really Willish to me. *shrugs*
