Okay, I'm calm now.

Huh. The Peter of Once More for the Ages is not the Peter of the Warsverse.

That...explains a lot, actually.

*stares, enraptured* He's so calm. (I, um, evidently decided what I needed to do to calm down was handwrite the flip side of "Once More for the Ages." Handwriting? Calms me down. A lot.)

I think as the Warsverse progress he gets crazier and crazier, that's all, because you started to fill in the blanks bit by bit, and many of them are much darker than what's initially displayed.

For one, I think back then (Like in Such Deliberate Disguises, and First Contact (http://bedlamsbard.livejournal.com/247370.html)) the relationship between Peter and Edmund are much simpler even-at least the way I see it. Brothers, in blood and in arms, and knows each other very very well. But don't have the terribly complicated issue of Peter/Narnia(Edmund) there. Well, I think they looked happier and lighter then! But I may be solely mistaken. (http://bedlamsbard.livejournal.com/245287.html)

This is true, of course, and it's the problem with writing an ongoing 'verse; not everything adds up.

But this Peter and Caspian's relationship is completely different than Warsverse Peter and Caspian; part of that may be because I'm making a deliberate effort for it not to be Warsverse Peter, though. I mean. Well, for one thing, he refers to Narnia as, "the country that loved and nurtured him and saw him grow from a boy to a man." Which is, uh, a lot healthier.

Er, yes, probably. But the good thing is even not everything adds up very nicely, they are all very fascinating in there own way, so no complains here. I wouldn't deny that I actually love the healthier sort of relation better, because you know, I hate seeing Peter (or Edmund, depending) suffer. But still, Warsverse is just too charming and fascinating for me to dwell on these things. I am always speechless after reading each piece.

I was horribly terrified that the Warsverse had destroyed my ability to write Peter as, you know, sane. Or as Peter. (We shall really have to see Peter before he gets bound at some point; the fic is in progress. Granted, it's been in progress since July, but still.)

And thank you for the compliment. *blush*

i just read what you've calmed down from, and i'd like to offer a *hug*, however belatedly. if you ever wanna tool around with me online, i'd be down (aim: bewarethefrisbee). word to cities and college taking some getting used to. but i think you're pretty lucky to be in a good school AND a cool city. (four years in worcester MA was aaaarrrgh.) don't let people talk you into being scared of the city! cities are AWESOME. it just gets a bad rap. but if i can walk alone ten blocks through harlem at 11 pm ('cos i HAD to, not for giggles or 'cos i was bored), you can get caught out in new orleans a couple hours after sunset.

yes, but it is new orleans, which is a friggin' amazing city, but it's also a friggin' scary city. and i am scared little country mouse girl!

i do not actually have an aim. i should probably rectify this someday, and join the rest of fandom in the twenty-first century. *snort*
