facts about ME.
Oct. 30th, 2008 01:11 pmWhat is that meme that goes around sometimes? Ten weird facts about yourself? I don't feel like waiting for the meme to come around again SO.
1. If it's a sunny day and I'm not wearing sunglasses, I tend to walk with my right eye closed. If I'm running, sunny day or not, I tend to run with my left eye closed. The rest of the time I walk with both eyes open.
2. I don't drink coffee; I drink tea. Currently I have seven boxes of tea in my room, six of them different, because they don't sell the brand I usually drink in New Orleans and I have been experimenting with different brands of green tea. My mother is also shipping me boxes of my usual tea down from Washington; that's why I have two of the same brand. (Said brand here being Numi, said flavor being jasmine green. OMG JASMINE TEA/ME OTP.)
3. I don't drink pop. I try it once a year or so -- usually by accident -- and all it does is serve to remind me that I don't drink pop. Given my druthers, I'd rather drink water. Sometimes juice, but the only kind of juice I really like is grape, although I'll drink orange if forced. Lemonade sometimes, but I'm not that big a fan.
4. I don't eat cheese or eggs. I mean, I'll eat them on stuff, like pizza, but I don't eat scrambled eggs, I don't eat omelets or quiche, I don't eat straight cheese, etc.
5. I have the worst watch tan ever. It is horrible. I broke my watchband about two days after arriving at Tulane, and I couldn't wear my watch for a couple days, and it was horrible; I am used to chronically checking the time.
6. At all times I wear: six rings (the most I've ever worn was nine, four of which I'm still wearing) and one necklace. HOWEVER. The charm that was on the necklace broke last week after about four or five years -- and I brutalize my jewelry, I'm constantly playing with it and I broke three of the chains before I switched to the heavy duty one I wear now -- and right now I'm only wearing the chain. But I wear it all the time. (The charm is now in my desk drawer, by the way.) I also have pierced ears, but I almost never wear earrings.
7. I have long hair, but I hate wearing my hair down. It's up ninety-nine percent of the time. I don't want it shorter than shoulder-length, either, because then it's too short. There is a strong possibility that I grow my hair out for the sole purpose of wearing it up.
8. I have absolutely no idea how to put on make-up. At all. The only times I've worn make-up has been for Tolo and Prom, and that's a grand total of three times in the past three years. And I wasn't the one putting it on me then.
9. I have never had alcohol. Ever.
10. I don't play sports and I've never played sports, but I really like sports movies; they calm me down. (Y'all will imagine my joy at finally getting around to watching Friday Night Lights -- the show, not the book -- the other day, the one where I was crying. It is a sports movie that is an ONGOING TV SERIES. Oh, joy.) As a general rule, not a fan of chick flicks, although I like a few. I am incredibly fond of action movies, but I haven't seen a lot of the classics.
