My roommate's moving out. Not as in, some time in the near future, but as in, right this very minute in the process of.
I don't think I did anything, and she says I didn't -- but she also says that she needs to get more sleep and I don't see how I'm to blame for that. Sometimes she goes to bed earlier than me, but the past few days she's been coming back after midnight, after I'm already in bed (I ususally go to bed at midnight), and she nearly always gets up earlier than me. And I'm quiet, guys, I always have headphones on unless there's someone else in the room with me or I've asked permission, and I don't see how that has anything to do with having a roommate. And she'd mentioned moving out before, but she said it was in relation to not liking living in an all-girls dorm -- but she's still in J.L.
I'm confused to say the least, and a little hurt that she didn't at least talk to me beforehand. (She basically walked in as I was getting ready to go to dinner and said, "So you know I'm moving out, right?" to which my reply was, "Oh. You are? When?" "Right now.")
On the bright side, at least I get her bookshelves?
ETA: Fuck this, I'm too distracted to sieze the last few hours I have before November and work on Dust. (PIRATES OMG. NUFF SAID. Except for the whole hurt and confused thing which is kind of killing my vibe. Maybe it'll be "In This Hollow Valley" after all.) I keep staring at it, adding a handful of words, and going, "God damn it, Tirian, can't something happen? Well, it was good to meet your cousin, I guess." Friday Night Lights it is, along with the kitchen towel of doom I'm currently knitting.
ETA2: Now I kind of want to write the Narnia/Stardust crossover for NaNo. Except I CAN'T, because it isn't just my baby. Or maybe some random other high fantasy, some kind of quest thing where I can make shit up as I go. I still have four and a half hours till midnight here, guys!
ETA3: She's moved out now. Man, looking at a bare mattress is really depressing.

Date: 2008-10-31 11:56 pm (UTC)They're not moving anyone else in with me that I know of; I'm trying to figure out whether or not I'm happy I'm getting a (fairly spacious) single.

Date: 2008-11-01 01:30 am (UTC)Anyway, sounds like she's dealing with her own issues, and I think you have to take her word that it's not you. Sounds like she's pretty confused about what it IS though. :S

Date: 2008-11-01 01:46 am (UTC)It's just really weird for me. I mean, I thought we were good! But apparently there's something going on with her that I didn't know about. *shrugs* It's still screwing with my head, though.

Date: 2008-11-01 02:07 am (UTC)I, for example, just CANNOT sleep properly with other people around. *shrug* Add one to the list of reasons I'm never studying in the states.

Date: 2008-11-01 02:09 am (UTC)No, you should totally come to the states! You don't have to share rooms.

Date: 2008-11-01 01:35 am (UTC)You said she talked about moving out, before. If, after she gets established in her new room, you see if she still wants to do things together, and she doesn't, or isn't friendly, *then* worry.
