Just signed up for Yuletide, for the first time ever! And y'all know what? King's Quest is a fandom!

Look, I loved King's Quest as a kid. Loved, loved, loved. Hell, I used to carry the user manuals around and read them for kicks. The eps I had were VI and VII, and I used to play them all the time. I had forgotten just how much I loved that game until I saw it on Yuletide. And according to Wikipedia (okay, I know, scary words), it got re-released for play on XP! Except. Would that work on Vista? Because Vista is what I have. Really, I just want to be able to play VI and VII, and especially VII. *wistful*

They only JUST declined it- and I'm sure once the movie hype goes away it will be admissible again :). At the moment we're a pretty active fandom...

WHEEEE I SIGNED UP TOOOOO!

My sign-ups-to-write were weird. There were about ten characters on the Arthurian list I didn't know and therefore couldn't write. So I had to enter 'Arthurian' about six times with different clumpings of characters. And now if anyone requests Arthur/Lancelot/Galahad/Mordred I'll be there to write that particular piece of weird... ;)

And I had real trouble not putting citations in one of my requests. *headdesk* you know you've been in academia too long when... :D
