Dec. 19th, 2008 11:12 amOh, I see that I have turned into one of those college students.
Cannot go anywhere, because my parents got rid of my auto insurance and therefore they won't let me drive, which kind of spoils my plans of going to the high school today or ANYWHERE ELSE, and I'm dying to get to the library and also the yarn shop. I also can't even walk anywhere, because I live a couple miles outside of town, and also, there is snow, and a lot of it. Also, it is FREEZING (in my house as well as outside). Please to be sending me back to New Orleans now, thanks a lot. Warm weather, no snow, STUFF IN WALKING DISTANCE or at least streetcar distance...
So, uh. Must readjust to the whole country living thing. Which would be easier if I could drive places. ARGH. Seriously, if you live in the country and don't have a car, you're screwed. Less so if you live in town, but since I don't live in town...
Oh, yeah, my plan for the moment definitely includes grad school in the South, not New England. SOUTH I LOVE YOU. Also, gumbo.
And, on top of that, the touchpad on my laptop is acting up. Please don't be broken; I need it to not be broken. Help? (It's working, it's just kind of jerky and less than smooth, and sometimes overshoots or doesn't move or doesn't go where I want it to go.)
