I think my touchpad is less screwy now! (Although. Still screwy.)

Which stands to reason, since I just bought a wireless mouse.

Well, at least I have the mouse now, just in case my baby decides to go to hell again. 'S always good to be prepared and all that.

Main problem here being that I am really, really used to using a touchpad.

Also, I am scarce because my timezone changed and because I'm only on my computer a fraction of the time I am at Tulane. Dust 8 is...in progress. Yuletide story is written and uploaded.

Man, I forgot that mice click. Boy, that's annoying.

ETA: Man, I didn't realize how often I used keyboard shortcuts until I'm also using a mouse at the same time. I'm currently using this weird combo of mouse, touchpad, and keyboard, which is...interesting, to say the least.

In other news, I have this mad desire to rewatch all of LotR before I go back to New Orleans. I have high hopes that this will result in me finally writing the sequel to "Ere Yet We Loose the Legions." *hums*

isn't it *maddening* to have to move your hand from keyboard to mouse and back again? my computer using speed dropped drastically when I got the mouse...

It is. I have enormous amounts of love for my touchpad, and now that's, like, doubled. I want it to work. ALL THE TIME. (It's better now than it was yesterday, but still...I have no idea what's up with it. I have a theory that I can blame it on the cold, but that's just ridiculous. *sigh*)

I had to get a mouse and keyboard and laptop stand and so on for Posture Reasons and not having stabbing pains in my wrist all the time. I have a theory tht this only works because the dodgy keyboard and mouse slow me down...

*twitches* Man, that just sounds like cruel and unusual punishment to me.

*sigh* The good news is that at least I was already using a lot of keyboard shortcuts before; it's just when it comes to thinks, like, say, opening files.

I've adjusted. Except for icon-making. I cannot do image work with a mouse.

Dodgy keyboard isn't doing much for my tendency to BASH THE KEYS TO DEATH, though.
