*grins* I am so going to be able to pimp my friend who hasn't seen Narnia because she "hates Susan" into movieverse!Narnia. She says she likes Edmund because he's bitchy, and I promptly showed her the challenge scene from PC, as well as the first Pevensie scene...starting with the bit where Susan stares at Idiot Boy and her whole expression is completely, "You are so lucky I am trained in diplomacy."

She agrees that movieverse!Susan is much more interesting than book Susan. *pumps fists in triumph* Also that she is intrigued by the movies and wants to see more.

Meanwhile, Dust 10 V.3.0 is advancing. It is much quieter than Dust 10 v.2.0 was, mostly because it has far fewer characters involved than v.2.0 did. (Far, far fewer.) Edmund is not traveling around the woods like an entourage in this incarnation.

Also, Peter is a Capricorn.

I saw the first 30 minutes of PC two weeks ago (and then my source of movies decide to go visit his friends on the East Coast for a week >:( )

To be honest, I sympathized with both Susan and Idiot Boy. Yeah, it sucks to be propositioned by someone completely unattractive to you and annoying on top of that. On the other hand, I've been around "Idiot Boys" and I've been friends with them and I have some idea of how much courage it took to override a shy personality to even speak to a pretty girl, much less try to establish a friendship. I think it was the lying about her name that tipped me to the negative end of the scale; that wasn't diplomatic, it was just thoughtless cruelty to someone who didn't really deserve it.

Well, if you think about it, Lucy sort of tipped off Susan's actual name. But the boy still called her Phyllis at the end of the movie. *shrugs*

This is true. (I have been the shy girl who can't talk to pretty boys, so...same person, different gender.) And yet...Susan's expression pretty much says it all. Not interested.

The funny thing is she is from a family of four children: boy, girl, boy, girl. And she's the oldest girl, so she says she felt she was supposed to empathize with Susan, but that Susan's (bookverse) personality is completely counter to hers.

Not a fire sign? I can totally get him as a Capricorn, though.

Well, I was at Borders with my friends today, and we were looking at this book (http://www.amazon.com/Sexscopes-Seduce-Stimulate-Satisfy-Sign/dp/0743203003/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1232332047&sr=8-1), and I was reading the Capricorn section (because, well, I'm a Capricorn), and my reaction was, "OH MY GOD THIS IS PETA TO A T." And then I read the bits about the Capricorn male rather than the Capricorn female, and it was a moment of "OH MY GOD THIS IS TOTALLY PETER."

It was kind of disturbing, actually.

I like that you know your characters' sex styles so well that you can find them in books :D it's like carrying interesting people around in your head. which might be a little disturbing but it is pretty awesome too.

Come to think of it, one of my friends might have that book. I remember sitting around in the hall reading about our astrological signs' sex lives... then again, the book we had was much sillier with the descriptions.

Well, Peta's sex life I know pretty well. Peter's, not so much, but I doubt he's significantly different than Peta. It wasn't really so much of how they are in bed as how they are in general -- and cold, calculating, arrogant, domineering, ambitious? Well...that's Peter for you, to one extent or another depending on the circumstances.

I am kind of worried now that I was channelling really hard while writing, because I am the classic Capricorn.

HAHAHAHHA, converting people to Narnia is awesome. I wish I could do that with one of my friends. I've tried enticing her with William Moseley, Skandar Keynes, and Ben Barnes being in PC (the pretty boy magnet almost always works), but it hasn't helped. She holds to the belief that the entire series being "stupid," which upsets me.

ZOMG EDMUND. ♥

*shudders* One of the tricks is to utterly divorce the concept of the movies from the books, which is really hard to do.

EDMUND. BARRELS OF AWESOME.

I know! The books are the originals, so you obviously can't hate those, but I'm hoping she'll come 'round eventually. She can't resist the dangling bait of pretty boys. XD

INDEED, INDEED.

The books are, well...let me just say there's a reason I write movieverse. THERE ARE A LOT OF REASONS I WRITE MOVIEVERSE and the pretteh is very low down on the list.

Hahahha, I understand. Pretteh isn't the top reason I like Narnia in general anyways. It's just the only enticement I can think of for my friend.
