Man. This is how you know that I've been writing in present tense too much; I'm trying to write "Legio Patria Nostra" (the boot camp story) in past, but every time I step back to it I start in present and don't realize it for about a hundred words or. It's really frustrating.

Also, all the boring intro stuff. *makes faces*

Also, wee tiny Wentworth Miller on BtVS S2! Seriously, I pretty much just go through TV shows looking at the guest star names for ones I recognize -- Carmine Giovinazzo on BtVS 1.01, of course, and Jeremy Ratchford on BtVS 2.12, and Wentworth Miller on BtVS 2.20. (I'm just going through BtVS S2 on Hulu; I'm almost through, at which point I strongly hope I can get back to Dust instead of just poking at it occasionally, because seriously, I actually know what happens.) It's like how, on SPN, we have Sarah Shahi and Adrianne Palicki on SPN 1.01. And then Julie Benz randomly pops up all over the place; every time I see her my reaction is always, "Darla!"

...I watch too much TV. (On the other hand, I saw 10 Things I Hate About You for the first time last week and spent the entire movie going, "AND THEN DAVID KRUMHOLTZ --" and my friends kept going, "Shut up, Katrina! We don't know what you're talking about!")

Yes, and you know you've been reading too much fanfic today when you're working on your own fiction and keep slipping into the present tense even though you never use it.

Oh, gosh, I am afraid to see what happens when I go back to writing original fiction. I don't know what kind of weird quirks I've picked up from writing Narnia, let alone the present tense thing.

Seriously, I don't even know it. Maybe the story just wants to be present tense?

You know you've been writing too much, when you look at a sentence and you don't even know what tense it's in .... or maybe that's just me, lol X3


I do the guest staring thing too, except most recently I've had it in reverse. Harry Lennix is currently staring on Dollhouse, but every time I see him come on screen, I go "Omg, it's John Henry Giles!!!1" from when he guest started in House MD (in one of my fav House episodes ever). I also totally have that problem with anyone who was in Alis, or Buffy/Angel, and now probably Battlestar Galactica. I kept going 'hay, it's Helo and Romo!' as well while watching Dollhouse. ... the point of this ramble is you are not alone at yelling at the actors on your tv screen, lol XD

Romo is everywhere now! And after checking imdb it seems like he's been everywhere for awhile now, but now I keep seeing him and going 'Romo!' It's getting to be distracting.

Oh, yeah, I've been there. The other thing is that I can no longer tell when an author's writing UK English or US English. (Unless they use single quotes rather than double quotes. That's the only time. Otherwise, the phrasing has to pretty much hit me in the face; I no longer recognize the spelling.)
