Huh. This is new. I think I figured out a way to turn the immortal!Susan story -- sans crack crossovers, obviously -- into an original, while still keeping the "they were kings and queens in a magical land during WWII" aspect of it. (It involves Faery, somehow. That part's still being worked on.) Also, because not everything I can write can have massive amounts of incest in it (ha! try telling this to the colonial fantasy story or the werewolf story), the Peter character and the Susan character are no longer siblings. The Peter character definitely has a younger sister and possibly a younger brother; the Susan character definitely has an older brother but I'm unsure whether or not she has younger sibs. All of them are dead by the time we get to 2009 and the FBI thing.

Also, Morgan le Fay may make an appearance. (In a generally beneficial sort of way. Not, like, evil, just immortal and cynical.)

In other news, remember when I said I'd like to see what the Revolutionary War would have been like with magic? Apparently it's already been done.

Okay, studying now.

Oh, God, rewriting the same story from a different POV. OR FIVE. Been there, done that, burned the t-shirt. (http://bedlamsbard.livejournal.com/263996.html)

I tend to write in the same default 'verse most of the time -- man, it must be about seven years since I came up with the thing, except of course it's mutated and changed and grown over the time. The problem with that 'verse is that it's hard to do a stand-alone story; everything blends into each other too much just because of how I formulated it.

The most POVs I've done of the same event is two, because apparently when people encourage me to write more my muse dies or something despite me planning to write that POV in the first place. I think she hates me; it's the only explanation.

I, er, have a tendency to kill off the main characters, or otherwise incapacitate them, so working in one verse wouldn't work. Plus my muse likes fandom hopping, and twisting the characters' lives. Of course, then she starts playing "what if we smooshed these two verses together?" games. No, muse, smooshing together the Immortal!Xanderverse and the Saucyverse wouldn't work, because the whole point of the Saucyverse is his death and if Immortal!Xander didn't die in the last 65+ million years, he's not going to die because of a stupid portal. The only verse I really stuck with was the Former Robins' Club, and now I wouldn't be able to write in it if I wanted to.

Oh, no. I just kept adding in more and more characters and situations, so now that 'verse is one huge amalgam of genetically engineered supersoldiers and angels and werewolves and magic and high school band --

And it may or may not all work together, too.

I think I would write like that, if not for the all-too-often writer's block. The verse in my head just gets crazier and crazier, but it never leaks out through my fingers and onto the screen because I can't write it, or at least I can't write it fast or to the standards that I feel it's worth even trying to write. I have discovered a good side to writer's block, hooray!

Also. That sounds crazy, but only because of the high school band.

Which is now only tertiarily connected to most of what I write, but it was one of the original jumping off points, so it has just enough connections to some of the other stuff going on that I can't really leave it alone...
