You know what would be nice? If I could make myself WRITE THIS GODDAMN PAPER.
The notes are done. I have a (very rough) outline. I'm basically going to be pulling most of it out of my ass, because dude, what the fuck, all Theocritus gets me at this point is the urge to write Narnian poetry (There is a sound on the air I have not heard for a hundred years. / What is this? Is that birdsong? I hear drums and pipes; the forest is / Singing to me, calling, "Chersis, Chersis, come out and look at me. Winter is / Over and spring is beginning." I have not left my home in a hundred years. / The world is death and sorrow, ice and snow; I have seen neither sunlight / Nor green grass in a hundred years. I have almost forgotten what they look like.)
It's not a long paper, guys. It's about 1300-1400 words (the length is actually, uh, 1297-1394 words -- look, my prof is crazy). I should be able to kick it out in an hour, two, easy. (I think the top speed I've been clocked at for turning out stuff off the top of my head is, literally, a hundred words a minute. I know I've done 1K in fifteen minutes before -- Dust 5, I'm looking at you. (That chapter was crazy on a stick.) I'm considerably slower when it comes to academic writing, but not that slow.)
I want to get this paper done so I can do the following things: my Japanese homework, Peter/Susan at Cair Paravel and what happens when someone in the Royal Guard goes to the wrong member of the Royal Family (oh, the Royal Guard, so cute), angry!Peter/Susan with Rabadash, drugs, and two wars, Narnian poetry (see above), Dust 13, 14, and 15 (one of these chapters will feature the Perfect Contrast to Capo Maresti's riverboat. No, really, you have no idea. "Garden District Fine Teas" indeed. We also finally meet Elizar Confesor, one of the other major criminal powers in Cair Paravel. And his mother), watch the latest eps of SPN, Dollhouse, Kings, and last week's Castle (I'm caught up on Bones, T:SCC, and Friday Night Lights, I think), and BE DONE WITH THE GODDAMN PAPER.
It's due tomorrow. I'm down with the procrastination, kids. Don't go to college and be like me!

Date: 2009-04-07 03:46 pm (UTC)ruthlessly exploitinggetting this family of foxes to bring food to him. And there's this ongoing stream of Narnians coming by and yelling, "HEY YOU IDIOT OPEN YOUR DOOR." Only more poetry-ish.
