You know, watching my friend completely flip out over the fact she got put in Modular Housing for next year (completely flip out -- she was threatening to transfer just because of the housing she got) has strangely calmed me down.

You know what I want to write? The time Peter lost his virginity about a week into being High King, to a naiad and a dryad, then came back to Cair Paravel completely blissed out and kept walking into walls and doors and things -- or would have, if Cair Paravel hadn't happened to like him enough to move the doors. He did walk into people, though.

Trust me, I am considering it. It may be good to be King Edmund, but it's really fucking fantastic to be High King Peter.

Haha I totally get that! Not quite schaudenfraude, more like it forces you to be the calm one or something.

ya know what i was just tweaking? crosstree & grail! some copy paste, some restructuring, some outright cuts, and a couple more connecting scenes to be (re)written and it could be yay.

Because at least I'm not threatening to transfer to a community college, which probably looks even weirder on a transcript than failing freshman year second semester one credit CRAPPY band. (She apparently REALLY wanted a single, and didn't get one.) I have more or less settled into a state of zen calm. I may or may not go today. (Look, I have moral issues regarding the thing, which is an excuse, I know, but still.)
