1. The music always sucks, except for the slow dances.
2. You will never be able to find someone to slow dance with.
3. However, there will be happy couples all around you.
4. Should there be with whom you want to slow dance with, you will be unable to find them.
5. But if you do, the closest you'll be able to get to them will be within three feet, at which point you'll see they're already dancing with someone else.
6. On the last dance, your friends will all find someone to slow dance with and you'll be left alone on the sidelines.
7. Nothing fun will happen, because last year someone had the bad taste to come dressed entirely in Saran wrap.
8. You won't know any of the music, except for the slow dances.
9. If you do know the music, the only song you know will be "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" and all the songs you hate with a fiery passion.
10. You will always walk away feeling gypped and really, really depressed.
11. You won't get to dance with the guy you went to the dance for, not even once. Or anyone else, either.
Yes, I am bitter. Why do you ask?
Polaroid Scavenger Hunt today = band tradition, in which we get into teams of ten and run around trying to track down various items and combine into really, really whacky pictures to win points. It's really fun. Last year my team won for most points in a single picture.
Band - where sanity is optional and creativity is required.
