Sep. 8th, 2009 06:54 pm...I think it may actually be cheaper to study abroad in London for a year than to go to Tulane for a year, if my math is right and the nice website for UCL isn't forgetting anything. That's just sad. (My tuition for Tulane, including tuition, room and board, books, insurance, etc., for this year (August-June) comes out to around $54,000. I KNOW.)
But I can only apply to one study-abroad program. London or Sydney, guys? Or elsewhere; I am still taking votes! Although I am leaning towards the U.K., but I could be persuaded. For instance, if VotDT filming is still going to be going on in Fall 2010, which I somehow doubt. Or if there's going to be some Big Event. Or the number of fangirls. Look, I'm shallow, what can I say? As can be observed by the fact I'm choosing my study-abroad location by polling my LJ/DW.
(For those that need reminding: Japanese-American history major with classical studies minor (and probably an English minor, too) from Smalltown, Washington State, currently a sophomore at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, where I do not have to take a kayak to class everyday (no, REALLY, I have been asked this. They decided the kayaks were hazardous and now we have to swim), planning to do a junior year abroad.)
Also, the sole reason I'm speaking up in class this year? I want to have teachers that remember who I am so they can write me recommendation letters so I can go abroad. Uh. Hey, at least I'm talking!
