Today, I made buttons. Many buttons. Many, many buttons. In other words, in theory I have begun at my work-study job today.
(I am still not sure how I feel about this whole concept. It has something to do with the fact I don't feel that I have enough time as is, especially since this cuts into my writing time with
aella_irene. Yes. For some reason that is nearly more important to me than little things like money.)
I am, however, thinking of each hour worked as a skein of yarn I can buy, so there's that. Hi, my name is Bedlam and I am CRAZYCAKES.
Also, my employers are aware that I came to social media through fandom and am in fact an active participant in fandom. Oh, yeah, and my LJ, DW, and Twitter usernames. (Hint: They are all the same.) I'm not going to lock anything, but if there is a sudden surge in warnings on any fic that I put up in the future, you know why. This is the kind of thing that makes me wish I had a reputable secondary blog, like a knitting blog, or a food blog, or a blog extolling the trials and travails of co-writing a novel with someone in another country and another timezone. I do have a secondary blog, I just never use it, and my LJ and DW are the same. So, hi, employers and co-workers! Step lightly, and ignore the incestuous Narnia porn: I warn and I disclaim and I'm not going to change my habits. I have very firm Ideas on flocking, although this may be one of those weird situations where it would be better to lock the fannish stuff and leave the RL stuff public, but I'm not doing so.
This could end badly. Uh. Hi, I am Bedlam, and I have no survival instincts. I also note that I have introduced myself twice in this entry, so take that as you will. Again, crazycakes.
In less terrifying news, I have finally seen all of 2.01 of Fringe. Oh, show. How could you? Heart you, Olivia, Peter, Charlie, Walter, Broyles, and Astrid. New Girl Jessup, I have my eye on you. OH GOD CHARLIE NO. Charlie was one of my favorite characters on the show! Aside from all the other ones, but I really liked him! Especially here, oh, man, this is going to end badly somehow. And I knew they were going to do something to Charlie, too. Can we have one awesome sidekick type character that doesn't meet a horrible end? (I don't really think of Peter as a sidekick.) I mean, I will admit every single episode in S1 I was waiting for Charlie to kick it, because he's too good to be true. Oh, man. And just when I'd gotten my hopes up, too.
