(no subject)
Oct. 18th, 2009 01:07 pmI wonder if it's worth it to drop my Russian Revolution class with record. It's at a really bad time -- I have found out that I handle having late afternoon/evening classes really badly, and it's on a day where I basically go straight from class to work to class -- it's way too long, and I don't care about the subject matter at all. Like, by any definition of the word.
I care so little that there is only one freaking thing that I am interested enough in to write a fifteen-page paper on. Or even a one page paper, Christ.
Also, this class has possibly turned me off Russia, tsarist, Soviet, or otherwise, for the rest of my life.
Unfortunately, this is my only (a) history class (reminder: I am a history major) and (b) honors class. (Of course, I only need to take one honors class a year, and there are two I want to take next semester. In subjects that I am actually INTERESTED in. Which I hear is helpful. Like, seriously, the only thing that I have learned from this class is that I do not care about the Russian Revolution whatsoever, and also, that massive amounts of incompetency makes me want to cry.)
Thoughts? People who know anything about academia?
