I HAVE DECLARED MY MAJOR AND YEA, IT IS MEDIEVAL AND EARLY MODERN STUDIES.
This is probably not as exciting to those of you who are already medievalists. (I'm looking at you,
highlyeccentric.)
Yes. I heard about this major on Friday and by Monday it is MINE MINE MINE. And I have apparently also volunteered to sit on a panel during major week next semester. Uh. OH WELL. I'm sure my parents saw this coming. It is probably only slightly less useless than a classical studies major. Or slightly less useful; I hear a lot of classicists go on to be lawyers and doctors, or so the classical studies website claims.
Meanwhile, I am 3/5 of the way to an English minor, 2/5 of the way to a classical studies minor, or any combination of 1/6, 1/2, or 1/3 of the way to a history minor. (Uh. There is one class I took that is definitely listed as a history. One was cross-listed as history and classics, though I took it as a history. And then there is Arab-Israeli Conflict, which I'm taking as Jewish Studies and which is not cross-listed as a history, but which Degree Audit claims is also a history.)
