Jan. 15th, 2010 01:47 pm*twitches furiously* Need a book for Tuesday, the bookstore is out of it, the library's copy is -- doing something, I don't know, and I have ordered it and am hoping furiously that it will arrive before class on Tuesday. My hopes are not high, given that it is Friday and Monday is Martin Luther King Day. (Also, I drew a line at one-day shipping from Amazon, because I am not paying another $20 for that, no matter what. BAH. Hate you world, DIAF.)
Actually, the library's copy is on reserve, I don't even know what that means. Someone who is not ignorant of the inner workings of libraries please explain?

Date: 2010-01-16 03:35 pm (UTC)Except hurricane evacuations. That one we're great at. If there is a hurricane even remotely in the Gulf Coast area, then Tulane keeps us updated on every little tiny thing it does. Unless it's just a tropical storm. We only freak out for hurricanes.
