*wearily* I hate my computer, I kind of hate school, I really hate the library right now -- I have an insatiable yearning to watch Gladiator, which the library has, which I have not checked out yet because I am supposed to be doing my reading (oh my god, I am so behind), so I thought, hey! I'll get it on the weekend! Except now it is ON RESERVE hate the world so much die in a fire it was not on reserve yesterday. Or this morning. HATE HATE HATE.
Also, I paid my tuition day before yesterday, finally, and realized just after I did so that I'd paid them fifteen hundred dollars more than I should have because the bill is not the accurate representation of the money I owe them because I have outside money coming in, and now I cannot get hold of a human being from Accounts Receivable (probably because today is the last day to pay) and also it is raining and I don't want to go over to the AR office. I think it should just go into AR credit, if I am interpreting the website correctly, and then I can just ask them to give me a check or transfer it to my bank account or something, but it would be NICE TO BE SURE BECAUSE IT'S FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS.
On the bright side, my reinstallation CDs came in day before yesterday from home, so I will attempt to reformat my computer without causing it to blow up, but first -- um, important question: I have to put everyone I want to keep onto my external hard drive, yes? (My external hard drive is -- I have no idea, I think 180 GB? Or 250? Something round there.) Can I also put Microsoft Word and Powerpoint and so on and so forth on there, or is that going to magically stay on my computer, or am I going to have to repurchase and reinstall Microsoft Office? Because I would really prefer to not do that. Like, really. Because that's expensive, and my lovely university is not one of those that gives Office on discounts or free (clearly, I chose the wrong school to go to). (Roommate may have answered this question, but if anyone can tell me HOW to move Office onto my external hard drive, you would be an amazing human being.) Also, is there any way whatsoever to save my iTunes playlists? Because I would kind of like to keep those, you know. I think everything up to now is backed up on my iPod, so I can rebuild them manually, but that's so much work.
